Distilleries
Local Whisky Experiences
At Meldrum House, we have a love for Scotland’s national drink. With so many distilleries in Scotland you’ll find one of the very best on our doorstep. Glen Garioch is one of the oldest operating distilleries in Scotland. They offer daily tours at the Visitor Centre which showcase the 220 years of craftsmenship that goes into every bottle.
Speyside is a lovely drive from the hotel and it’s here you’ll find the largest number of distilleries in the world. We recommend the new Macallan Distillery which opened in 2018. But there are plenty of other distilleries to explore. Just ask our team on Reception.
We can also offer food and whisky pairing dinners here at Meldrum House. Ask us for details.
LOCAL TOUR
Legends of Garioch
We also have an experience with Glen Garioch Distillery called ‘Legends of the Garioch’ which is a half-day event following in the bootsteps of the founders. This 5-star, award-winning tour finishes with a very special lunch with whiskies to complement the flavours of the dishes our Executive Chef has created. Ask us for details.
