Meldrum House Traitors Weekend

Choose a setting worthy of the game

Every great Traitors-style gathering needs an atmospheric setting. Think historic architecture, cosy corners, grand interiors and somewhere that feels just a little removed from the outside world.

With its centuries of history, distinctive character and beautiful surroundings, Meldrum House provides a memorable backdrop for a weekend of intrigue. From the charm of the house itself to the winding estate grounds, there are plenty of details to set the scene before the first round of accusations begins.

For the full experience, gather your group for an evening in the Cave Bar, tucked beneath the house in the atmospheric surroundings of the estate's historic larder.

After all, every great game needs a place to plot.

Assemble your Faithfuls and Traitors

No Traitors weekend would be complete without the right group of players. Invite the friends who love a little friendly competition, those who can keep a straight face under pressure and, of course, the ones nobody quite knows whether to trust or not.

Gather around the table and pick your 'Claudia', who will then decide who will take on the role of Traitor and who will be among the Faithful with a simple tap on the shoulder.

You can follow the familiar format of secret identities, missions, round-table discussions and dramatic banishments, or put your own spin on the game with challenges tailored to your group.

The most important rule? What happens at the round table stays at the round table.

Plan a weekend of missions and mysteries

The best weekends strike a balance between a little friendly competition and time to enjoy your surroundings.

Take the rivalry outdoors with a round of golf, test your aim with clay pigeon shooting, or see who comes out on top at our fantastic golf practice facility.

After all, a little competition never hurts when there are reputations at stake.

The Traitors’ Turret

As night falls, it’s time for the Traitors to assemble in secret and decide who will be ‘murdered’ before the next morning. Make the most of our historic estate by meeting in the Doocot, the perfect setting to plot the next move away from the watchful eyes of the Faithful.

Breakfast with 'Claudia'

The following morning, gather for breakfast and await 'Claudia’s' dramatic reveal. Who has been murdered overnight, and who is safe to continue the game? As the group comes together around the breakfast table, tensions rise, suspicions grow and the Faithful must decide who they can really trust.

The round table

After a day exploring the estate and enjoying a little friendly competition, take your place around the table at Seton’s for an evening of Scottish dining, bold accusations and a little well-placed deception.

As you enjoy your meal, share your suspicions, defend your alliances and decide who you believe is playing the game. After all, even the most innocent-looking guest could be hiding something.

The final reveal

Finish the weekend with one last gathering to uncover the Traitors and crown the winning Faithfuls. A small prize for the winning team, or a suitably dramatic trophy, makes the perfect finishing touch.

The perfect ending to a weekend of secrets

The beauty of a Traitors-themed weekend is that it brings people together in a way that feels different from the usual escape. There are stories to tell, alliances to question and memories to make long after the final votes have been cast.

At Meldrum House, the combination of historic surroundings, estate activities, great food and inviting spaces provides a setting for a weekend that feels both playful and relaxing.

So, gather your group, decide who you can trust and prepare for a getaway filled with a little mystery.
