Meldrum House is convenieintly located just 15 miles from Aberdeen Airport (ABZ) and 19 miles from Aberdeen Train Station and 6.5 miles from Inverurie Train Station.
Yes, our team would be delighted to arrange either a local taxi or a private transfer to and from Aberdeen or Inverurie Train Station.
Yes, complimentary on-site parking is available for all guests throughout their stay.
We are pleased to welcome well behaved dogs in select areas of the estate. Dogs are welcome in:

Absolutely, families are welcome at Meldrum House. We have a variety of spacious family friend rooms with sofa beds and where these are unavailable, can offer an additional bed or cot. An additional charge may apply for an extra bed, and this can be discussed with the team at the time of booking. If you have any questions about any of our rooms and their suitability for travelling with children then please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

0–5 years: Complimentary
6–12 years: 50% off the adult breakfast price
12–17 years: Full adult price

Yes, many of our rooms celebrate the rich heritage of Meldrum House. Our individually designed Manor House rooms retain the character and elegance of this historic baronial mansion, featuring original architectural details and carefully preserved furnishings that reflect the estate’s remarkable past.
Rooms within the Stables are set within a beautifully restored Grade A stable block.
Dating back to 1236, Meldrum House has been home to generations of distinguished Scottish families and guests can discover authentic period features and artefacts around every corner that honour our nearly 800 years of history.
Meldrum House is ideally located on the outskirts of Oldmeldrum, only 1.4 miles from the centre, it is easily walkable.
Yes, our team would be delighted to recommend and help arrange a selection of local experiences through our trusted partners. Popular excursions include visits to Glen Garioch Distillery, Johnsons of Elgin and many of Aberdeenshire’s renowned castles, gardens and coastal attractions.
Absolutely. Whether travelling for business or leisure, solo guests can enjoy the comfort, tranquillity and warm hospitality that Meldrum House is known for.
We do not currently have any interconnecting rooms, however if you are travelling with a group or family, then contact our friendly team who will be happy to discuss the options available and ensure the accommodation that suits you.
Twin Rooms
All Stables rooms can be configured with twin beds on request. In addition, two of the Estate King rooms can be converted into twins. Within the Chain Lodge, there are also two permanent twin rooms available.
Walk In Showers & Baths
Every guest room features a shower, while selected rooms also include a bath. If you would prefer a room with a bath, please let our reservation team now when booking and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Yes, we have three fully accessible bedrooms within the estate: one located in the Stables and two within the Estate wing. If you have specific accessibility requirements please contact us before your stay so we can ensure the most suitable accommodation is prepared for your arrival.

Yes, room service is available throughout your stay. A £5 tray charge applies to each order.
We offer a range of menus that can accommodate a variety of dietary requirements. These are available on request. If you, or any of your party, have a food allergen, intolerance or specific dietary requirements, please inform us at the time of booking.
While we take every reasonable precaution when preparing food, our kitchens operate within an open plan environment. As a result we cannot guarantee that dishes will be completely free from cross-contamination with allergens.
Our menus are seasonal and dishes are subject to change without notice, we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Yes, non residents are welcome.
We highly recommend booking in advance, particularly for weekends and special occasions, to avoid disappointment
Yes, a laundry service is available Monday to Friday. Clothing items submitted before 2pm will be returned the following day. Each item is charged individually, and full details on laundry and dry-cleaning services can be found in your room.
Guests will find lift access in the Estate wing. Please note that the historic Manor House and Stables do not have lift access. If mobility is a consideration our reservations team will be pleased to recommend the most suitable accommodation.
Yes, hotel guests are welcome to play the Knight’s Course during your stay– a privilege usually reserved for members. To confirm costs for a round or to use the practice facilities, please contact our reception team who will be happy to help.
The Pro Shop have a range of equipment available for hire if you aren’t travelling with your own clubs.
