A Coach Shaped by the Game's Best Thinking
Neil turned professional in 1989 and was named Rookie of the Year on Scotland's Tartan Tour that same year. His coaching philosophy has been shaped by decades spent learning from some of the sport's most respected minds — from the classic methods of Henry Cotton and Bobby Jones to sessions with modern coaching figures like Hank Haney and Jim McLean. For fifteen years he served as Scotland's National Under-16 and Under-18 Boys' coach, helping develop players who've since gone on to compete on the European and Challenge Tours, including Bob MacIntyre.
Lessons Built Around Data and Feel
Every lesson at the Meldrum House Golf Academy is backed by serious facilities: a private studio fitted with Trackman 4, a covered driving range, and the world-class Chippers' Alley for short game work — widely regarded as one of the finest short game setups in the north of Scotland. On-course lessons on the Knights Course are available too, whether over nine holes, eighteen, or focused on specific parts of your game. Every session ends with a Trackman Screencast summary — video, data and drills — so progress doesn't stop when the lesson does.
