1236 @ Cave Bar
800 Years of History
The Cave Bar is part of the original manor house’s rich history, dating back to 1236 and is the buzzy heart of the hotel. Originally, this part of the building was a larder and storeroom. Our Whisky Club is where they smoked and hung meat and fish that would have come in from the estate and further afield. Open morning, noon and evenings 7 days a week, we serve a casual daytime menu and, in the evenings, social informal plate dining where you can mix and match dishes.
This diary will allow you to book drinks in Titan Sky Bar, Afternoon Tea in the manor house and dinner in Pineapple and 1236 at the Cave Bar. If no availability shows, this means we are at full capacity and no longer accepting bookings.

Time for a Dram
In 2019 we were proud to win Whisky Magazine’s Global Icon Hotel Bar of the Year award, thanks to stocking over 120 whiskies as well as the largest collection of Glen Garioch whiskies found globally.
We also serve cocktails and boast an extensive champagne and wine collection. We have a number of draft and bottled lager and beers. Plus, we stock a range of beers including alcohol-free from our friends down the road at Brewdog, all served within our truly historic setting.
On sunny days you can head out to our Terrace where there are seats and tables with views across our estate.
