Outdoor Pursuits

We are lucky to have Lochter Activity Centre just minutes from the hotel, offering segways, karting, archery and clay pigeon shooting. If it’s a wander along a sandy beach you fancy, then head to Balmedie where dogs are also welcome. We’re proud to be members of the North East 250 route which takes in some spectacular scenery and of course, Meldrum is the perfect stopover.

Lochter has the widest range of outdoor and sporting activities in the North East of Scotland for all ages. Activities range from Karting on the outdoor Lochterstone track, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Target Rifle Shooting, Target Archery, Segway Slalom, 4X4 Blindfold Driving, Climbing Wall and Zip Line, Water Zorbing and so much more.

The North East 250 explores everything for which Scotland is famous in a unique road trip taking you through the whisky distilleries of Speyside, the spectacular mountain passes of Cairngorms National Park, the famous castles of Royal Deeside, the Granite City of Aberdeen, the rugged North Sea coastline to the east, and the picturesque seaside villages of the Moray Firth.
