Neck Tilt
Do you turn enough or come over the top? Your setup could be the key to sorting this out – in particular the tilt of your neck, which affects the angle of your eyes at address.Eyes Right
If the line of your eyes aims left (for right-handers) then you will tend to swing this way and come over the top, causing a slice or a pull. Try to make the line of your eyes aim a little bit to the right.
This will help you do two things. It will help you turn your shoulders and hips a little more, giving you more power. It will also give your brain the message from the eyes that the angle you want to hit into the ball is slightly from the inside.
To create this angle of the eyes, there are two points that are important about the tilt of the neck that need to be looked at:
- It should lean slightly away from the target so that the right eye is lower than the left
- Your left ear should feel slightly closer to the ball to target line than the right
